This is an ‘html-only’ version of Scribblings with no database behind it. This means it is not possible to search it. I am working on a new version with which I am hoping to eventually put back into the main site. The new version is here but please note that there is no link directly back to the main site.

Getting it in the neck

I find it delicious that after years in which some of its members have, for their own amusement, published the names, addresses and phone numbers of people they don’t like on fascist web sites the British National Party (BNP) has had the same thing happen to them; in spades.

Someone, apparently from within its own ranks, has published the entire membership list on the net1 complete with helpful notes for some of the members telling you that they’re policemen, doctors, pagan prison chaplains2 and even anglers and chess players. While I can’t condone harrassing the people on the list, most of whom are probably just misguided, confused and lost, I couldn’t help looking for the closest to me. It’s a toss up between the woman in Endymion Road or the man in ‘Western Park’ (which, if he could only spell his own address properly, would be Weston Park). It’s good to know where at least some of the enemy live.

One encouraging thing to note is that there are less than 450 addresses listed as being in London although there are probably others who specify places like Dagenham (56 members) instead of London.

Marvellous stuff.

1 Try searching for it on Google and you should eventually find it. I do not have a copy available on this site for two main reasons: (a) there’s a court injunction against its publication and (b) I don’t want hordes of baseball bat wielding thugs appearing at my door.

2 I can’t work out whether this chap, from Norfolk, is for real. His notes say that he is a ‘Window cleaner, former pig farmer and pagan prison chaplain’ and that his hobbies are ‘growing mistletoe and rune making (wood)’.

An apology

Since moving the site to a new server Scribblings is not as easy to find your way around as it used to be. It used to depend on a script and a database on the server but is currently served as ‘flat html’.

I have some ideas about how to make it a bit easier but they depend on writing another script. I hope to get around to it ‘eventually’.
