This is beta software. You’re quite welcome to try it out. At the time of writing it works fine on my own machine. I do not know whether it’s StrongArm compatible but see no reason why it shouldn’t be (it probably depends on the C-libraries I use). Details of changes since previous versions are in the program’s help files.
This software provides a means of running mailing lists on Acorn machines which use ANT’s Internet Suite (version 1.26-ish or later). It will probably run OK if you don’t use Marcel except for the feature which lets you save incoming command-mail to a Marcel user (it writes directly to that user’s INBOX). Note that calling this program ‘majordomo’ is almost pure conceit; it has very little in common with the Unix program of the same name.
Unfinished Help files are provided as HTML files. There should be enough info there to let you get going though.
There is no desktop front end at the moment though it should be fairly easy to set up by editing the configuration files.
I am not providing a patch to upgrade earlier versions to the current one. Too many files have changed to make this sensible. If you are currently using version 0.45i then simply download the new version and follow the instructions in ReadMe046 for upgrading the old version. If you are using a version prior to 0.45i then I recommend that you install the patch below to upgrade to 0.45i before installing the new version.

Upgrade to produce majordomo 0.45i
from versions 0.45 - 0.45h
This patch is not needed if you’re currently using 0.45i.
This patch should only be installed over version 0.45, 0.45b, 0.45c, 0.45d, 0.45e, 0.45f, 0.45g, 0.45g1 or 0.45h. If you’re using a version of majordomo earlier than 0.45 you must install the full version 0.46 (above).

The software on this site only runs under Risc OS. It will not run under Windows, DOS or any other PC thingy.
Of course it won’t run under Mac OS, Unix or any other operating system either but then if you use one of these you’ve probably sussed that out already. It seems to be only PC users who have trouble in this respect :-)
